Championing Affordable & Accessible Housing for All

Housing is a basic human right, and we are committed to ensuring that everyone in Aurora has a safe and affordable place to live. We understand that housing is one of the hardest barriers to overcome when becoming successful and getting back on your feet.

Our commitment to driving economic prosperity for all is unwavering. We believe in aligning businesses with people's needs, fostering economic mobility, and empowering Aurora to create positive change. Through public and private partnerships, Rob is dedicated to helping people remove barriers to employment and achieve self-sufficiency. He is committed to keeping money within our community, creating a prosperous Aurora for all.

The Plan

Our commitment to driving economic prosperity for all is unwavering. We believe in aligning businesses with people's needs, fostering economic mobility, and empowering Aurora to create positive change. Through public and private partnerships, Rob is dedicated to helping people remove barriers to employment and achieve self-sufficiency. He is committed to keeping money within our community, creating a prosperous Aurora for all.

1. Transitional Housing
  • Implementing Innovative Solutions:
Rob plans to implement transitional housing programs, an innovative and proven solution to some of the community's toughest problems.
  • Enhancing Stability and Autonomy:
These programs combine affordable housing with services that help people facing complex challenges live with stability, autonomy, and dignity.
  • Improving Lives:
Successful transitional housing improves housing stability, employment, mental and physical health, and school attendance, and reduces active substance use.
2. Workforce Housing
  • Supporting Middle-Income Workers:
Rob is committed to developing workforce housing, which is affordable to households earning between 60 and 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). This targets middle-income workers such as police officers, firefighters, teachers, health care workers, retail clerks, and more.
  • Filling the Gap:
Workforce housing fills the gap for households who may not qualify for housing subsidized by major programs like the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program or the Housing Choice Vouchers program.
3. Supportive Housing
  • Providing Supportive Solutions:
Rob plans to implement supportive housing programs, which combine affordable housing with services that help people facing complex challenges live with stability, autonomy, and dignity.
  • Enhancing Quality of Life:
Successful supportive housing improves housing stability, employment, mental and physical health, and school attendance, and reduces active substance use.
  • Cost-Effective Approach:
Supportive housing costs essentially the same amount as keeping people homeless and stuck in the revolving door of high-cost crisis care and emergency housing. It's a cost-effective solution that improves lives and strengthens the community.

We believe this approach to affordable housing is comprehensive, innovative, and focused on the needs of Aurora's residents.
